The 7 are doing great. At 6 days I can't believe how the wing & tail feathers are in. It was a really warm day & we had a little romp in their playroom on the back porch. They went wild over the grass.Picking, rolling, wing flapping. They can run like deers!!! When they are not asleep they eat, eat, eat. I can't believe how much they consume. A couple of pics of the proud parents & their crew of 7.





 
Well I don't know how good he will be when they are together. He is a sweet guy though. They come up on the back steps & I hold the chicks up to the glass & he is very curious....as if to say what on earth is this!!!! Now the girls don't pay them one ounce of attention. They look at them & leave....as if to say I don't want any part of this!!!!! Later on their sweet, quiet little life is going to have a huge disruption LOL. These chicks are a case!!!!!
 
I though maybe the chicks were under the bushes, they actually aren't there, oops. Well let's hope he's a good daddy. Very nice looking birds. Are there New Hampshire?
 
Yes they are New Hampshires. I tried to get the girls to "sit" but neither would have any part of it. I left eggs, we had oh please be a mother talks, but no they didn't have the time or interest in it. LOL. They are 2 years old. So I told my husband if we are going to get any little ones we are going to have to do it. So I got a Brinsea incubator which worked very well, & we have the gang of 7. I am really glad now that it worked out as it did because we are really enjoying them.
 
Yesterday we had a good old dirt bath in the playpen on the back porch. They rolled & winged flapped until they were give out....just like the big chickens. I wish you could download a video, it is so funny to watch. I put an old sheet down in the living room floor & let them rip. They run like deers. They are 1 week old today & it has been a blast to watch them. I can't get anything done but take pics of chicks!!!!
