Injured Chick! Advice please!!!

This is My 2 week old EE chick. He was safe in the brooder with 9 other chicks so I have no idea what happened. So upset.

I have removed him from the brooder. Sprayed the wound with antiseptic spray and sprinkled cornstarch on it. I gave him some molasses water with a dropper. He has access to clean food and water and otherwise seems fine. I also checked his vent and it is fine.

Any advice on how to care for him or even what his chances of survival are would be greatly appreciated.

If there's no cats dogs or another predator then it looks like he was bully pecked I call it just a little something stuck to him caused all the other chicks to keep pecking once blood appears they go crazy on it.Just keep him calm quiet warm and alone until healed. You can give him a warm water and baby soap bath then I blow dry them quickly. He should be ok if you can go to a feed store

Thank you so much for all the help! This is our first time raising chicks and I definitely wasn't expecting so much drama so early on!

I wrote a detailed article on how to care for a wounded chick. It's linked below under "Articles".

You need to commit to cleaning the wound twice a day and keeping it moist with ointments so it doesn't dry out. Infection is the biggest danger, and these steps insure it won't get infected and will heal quickly.

Your chick will heal very quickly and completely with proper care. Good luck.
