First, I am happy to be here. And we're happy you are here too. Second, I do have a friend that is on this forum and she keeps getting attacked by someone How rude. The vast majority of people belonging to BYC are terrific. for wanting to put three chickens in a certain coop. That's why I chose the title that I have. I am sensitive, so please be nice to me. My sisters and I own lots of chickens, and two ducks. They do live in the same pen with lots of space. We give our chickens bins with pine bedding in it as a little nest, is pine bedding bad for them? Pine shavings will not hurt them, but for broody nests (to hatch out chicks) pine shavings do not work well in that the nest does not hold its shape and eggs get knocked/pushed out of the nest. If you have chickens just for eggs, pine shavings will work fine. I have a hamster and I know that pine bedding is bad for him. Out of all the chickens we have I personally own five. Their names are Pixie, Peg, Zella, Ziana, and Zetha. What breed are they? A few pictures of mine----
Again, welcome to the group.
You're chickens are beautiful!
I don't know they're breeds... But I can describe their colors!
Pixie is yellow, and seems a little bit fat. Peg is pure white and lost a foot, that's why her name is Peg. She also has really tall tail feathers. Zella, Ziana, and Zetha, are all like zebra's black and white stripes. So I named them all with the beginning letter Z.
Thank youNice chickens!
It was from an accident, when she was younger she got a string tangled around her foot and pulled it off.AW was Peg born with her leg like that? Or was it from some accident? Glad she can still get around.
