We don't vaccinate. Given my health I don't want to risk an accidental prick. We ship from Texas and will run a hatch on PayPal preorders.

That is because baby chicks need to be shipped within 48 hours of hatching. That allows them to survive on their egg yolk and do better during shipping. Grow jell is a back up to hydrate if their is a delay and provide nutrients. Technically you are not supposed to ship 10 day chicks through USPS. The reasons are to be more humane and keep the survival rate high. This is why I have gone to prepayment only on chick orders. Too many people were delaying whether they wanted the chicks or not and I would end up with more birds because I don't believe in unnecessary animal cruelty.
