Newbie ChickenLady

Thread Starter

Hello all. I'm new to chickens and new to the forums. I have 12 or so in the brooder and 4 laying hens. All new this month.

There are black sex links, isa browns in brooder and the hens are barred rock and rhode island reds.

I am a homemaker and garden, knit, sew, paint, embroider, read, read, read some more. Love to travel. I also breed goldendoodles.  Moved from Northern NJ to Western New York a decade ago to get the kids into a country atmosphere. Looking at chicks every year in the feed store finally made me cave. :yiipchick working on the girl's coop and run as we speak. Three of my ladies in the photo here. They are in a temporary run, while we build the permanant one.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

This is a great site with great info and a ton of great people.

BYC has helped me soooooo much answering all my poultry questions.

P.S. and the little smiley face things are cool too. :yiipchick
