Wanted:
ISO NH Mammoth reds

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Does anyone have any of the N.H. Mammoth Reds developed by E. J. Bittner, of Westmoreland Depot, NH?

Our friend is his son or grandson (I forget which) and worked on the farm.

They were prize winning birds back in the 40's and there are several mentions in old newspapers about them especially in the Chicken of tomorrow contest

I found an ad for them in the 1945 "Everybody's Poultry" and realized it is Mammoth not Giant

guessing no replies means no one has heard of them. I've emailed a bunch of people too including the NH club, sadly guessing this line is lost forever
