It's really up to you. I personally would. I like knowing why my birds die, it helps me prevent it in the future. Below are a couple of links that might help:

A lot of people skin their birds before they cut them open, but you don't have to. below is a necropsy pic of a BSL hen of mine that died from an egg broken internally:

Breeds I raise: Easter Eggers, Naked Necks, PROJECT white d'Uccles, Mille fleur d'Uccles, RI reds, Barred PR's, Assorted Cochins, GLW's, Sexlinks, Mutts, and one Lavender Orpington!

Turkeys: Bourbon Red ~ Standard Bronze
