drakes and roosters

Hi there,

We are looking to get a few ducks to add to our farm.  We plan on raising the chicks and ducklings separately but wondered if only a straight run is available and we have a couple of drakes, will they do okay around a rooster?  Does anyone have experience with this or advice?  We have raised chickens for years, but have not tried ducks yet.

You should be fine smile.png I raise both ducks and chickens and I've never had a problem with drakes and roosters together. My ducks are definitely dominant over the chickens so the drakes will make a rooster move if it's in their way but I've never had any trouble with them over the years.
