This is like my 3rd or 4th time posting these birds. I have been told numerous times that they're both roosters but I believe otherwise. What does everyone else think? These are Orpingtons that are right at 3 months old.

My lav orps are slow developing, definitely boys at 3 months.

This chicken is 3-weeks-old. Don'the know the breed. Any thoughts about its gender?

Is that a white head dot? Looks like a barred male, not sure what breed though.

ok so last week I found out my Oliver egger wasn't pure maran over ee because of the cushion comb. So today in all the flooding I went to get a welsummer chick. Is this a barnvelder and not a welsummer ? I read welsummer pullets have a v on their head. Ahhhhhhh help. Junebuggena

I'm no expert, but I can tell you, no Welsummer chick has that coloring. They should be chipmunk colored with a well defined "V" on their head and eyeliner (female)

I too got snowed on some "Welsummer" chicks that are likely Wellie/Production red crosses,
Mine had the coloring and eyeliner, but the "v" was jagged.
They are the bottom left, bottom right and top right chicks in this picture.

And this is now at 16-17 weeks...Definitely not a Welsummer

I'm not too familiar with Barnvelders, but they are more rare, so I doubt that you accidentally ended up with one though. The coloring does look a little closer, but not quite right from what I can see in the pic you posted.
Here are Barnvelder Chicks

I'm so sorry!! I know how frustrating it is to be told one thing and get another!!!

I agree @junebuggena will probably have a better idea. I am curious too

Hi everyone! I have 5 week old chicks from Estes and I'm starting to worry about a few of them... Granted we did get 2 "extras", but one didn't survive the trip and another didn't survive our chick sitter's dog.

(She's also a chicken owner, no hard feelings).

I've been trying to read up on everything and figure it out on my own... and for the most part I think I HAVE figured it out. Some things are throwing me off a bit... so here I am. And please don't judge our crazy garage set up! Haha our coop was delayed and we finally got it today. (It was supposed to get here before the chicks. No joke.)

This is our Silver Laced Wyandotte that almost didn't make the trip to our home, was named "No Name" forever, is now named "June" and after yesterday I'm pretty convinced she's a guy. Our other three have much smaller combs and no pink in the comb. I can't tell if the legs are bigger at this point, and I've read Wyandottes can sometimes fool you. "She" has been much louder and squawk-y the last few days than the other. So I don't have really any hope we will get to keep "her" around. **Edited to add, This one is not the biggest of the Wyandottes and everyone seems to pick on "her". Does that matter at all?**

This is our Barred Rock. One's comb looks a bit pinker than this one. Should I be worried about either of them being roos? Their sizing is pretty much the same.

And these are our EEs... I've been more worried about the yellowish one because of the tail shape. But now I have no clue, and am TOTALLY confused. Lol.

And this is Owlette (head closest to you looking to the right)

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!

Your chicks are probably too young to be accurately sexed, so what I'm telling you could change.

June is most likely a cockerel and not SLW. Could be a mix breed. If the BR is from good lines, you have a pullet. The EEs aren't screaming cockerel at the moment. Please post pictures in a few weeks to confirm.
