New chicken mom!!

Thread Starter
It is my first time owning chickens as pets. This website has been extremely helpful so far! The "girls" are 3 weeks old today. I got 2 buff Orphington; 2 Black Australorp, and 1 Barred Rock. All pullets but I am afraid that my one BA girl may be a roo. He/she is getting a very tall comb, no tail yet and large thick legs. I know these girls are a bigger bread in general and I would be heartbroken if he/she was a roo as I can't keep them where I live.
I am hoping to post some photos for people to help me along the way!

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

Your babies are growing up to be chickens!!  As for the one that might be a roo, you can get a good picture of him and post in our What Breed and Gender forums for help determining whether or not he is a roo...  http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Enjoy your new babies! If you have any questions about them or anything else, feel free to ask.
