Hello!

Homeschooling animal loving 4H family, halfway through the first hatch. We had a broody hatch last year and it was great, but the kids want to start raising different show birds.

We have a Farm Intovators 4250, circulated air and egg turner. Today we candled the eggs(only one dead out of the fertile eggs!) the eggs closest to the heater seem to be a little farther along in the growth process. Should I be concerned?

I don't want to kill any, 29 alive and moving.

I hope your hatch goes well, I've never used an incubator but there are some very experienced hatchers here. If you don't get your answer here on the New Member forum, try posting over here:

Have fun!

Hi and welcome to BYC. Like NFC, i have experience in using incubators but she has given you the best forum in which to get the best advice.

As you will be raising chicks, rather than let momma do the work, these links may help you for the moment.
