This is my first time incubating duck eggs. I got these eggs at are local sale barn auction and the auctioneer didn't know what kind they were and saler wasn't right ther to answer.is there anyway to tell what breed duck the eggs are from? Eggs are white but one looks kinda light yellowish/ goldenish collar

Very hard to tell from just the egg. I believe a majority of ducks lay white/off white eggs.

I figure you won’t be able to make any kind of educated guess until they hatch, sorry.

Yea really..lol. I never thought of it that way..that is exciting!! There's a dozen ducks in with a dozen maran eggs so I'm setting up a homemade hatcher so the marans can go in it at lock down cause what I'm reading most ducks take a week longer than chickens to hatch.does anyone know if a styrofoam Homeade hatcher be good enough just to put marans in at lockdown time to hatch so my ducks can stay on Turner awhile in incubator..I have the humidity staying at 50 in it so im thinking I can up it pretty easy at hatch..my house is humid anyway

My ducks are hatching..can anyone tell me what breed duck these are..just hatched today..
