Don't wait too long to get more chicks to go with your Cochins, the older the 2 get, the less welcoming they can be to newcomers.

Have fun with your birds!

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Thanks for being so welcoming! Everyone has made me feel at home here. This site has been such a great resource for me. My husband has had adult chickens in the past, but he's not much help with the babies!

I agree if you want more chicks  get them now and about the same age -they should be able to integrate without too much fuss.  Cochins are a very nice bree:welcomed.

Thank you for letting me know, I've been a little worried about that...the 2 I have are inseparable. If I take one away from the other they start making this terribly sad noise/cheep until they are together again. I'm afraid the won't accept any new birds. We'll be extra careful when we add!
