Hello everyone

I'm new to being a chicken owner. I bought chickens on a whim and been hanging on this amazing ride. The chickens I purchase are from tractor supply. And I purchased them on March 1st of 2016. So I guess they are around six or seven weeks now. My question is can anyone give me there option on this Rhode Island Red male or female. I look threw the threads and see pictures of rooster and hens and can't figure it out.

m going crazy trying to figure out the gender of this chicken. So any help is much appreciated.

:welcome

Due to the largeness and redness of the comb I'm leaning towards cockerel. could you get a picture of it standing by its self?

Hi welcome-byc.gif

Glad you could join us here! I too would be leaning towards cockerel with the size and redness of the comb at that age. Please do pop you the what breed gender section with your pics and I'm sure members there will be able to help you.
