Rhode Island Red Not Laying

I've got 7 girls and one of them, Mim, has stopped laying. She still uses the nest box, but never lays. Today she was squatting for a good while today, so I flipped her over and she had what appeared to be a soft egg shell of some sort.. hard to tell, but looked close enough. Mim also has a bad leg which bothers her when she's out to long, and she's smaller than the rest. But she still very active. I know... She'll jump in your lap if you've got food... and try and steal it from you....

I'm really debating if whether or not to cull her

Which will be a rather sad thing, she's a very mellow hen, one of my best... But... If she's not laying...

You didn't say how old she is, how long has she been laying? Here are some possible causes for non-laying:

I hope you can figure out what the problem is and how to fix it.
