First Time Hatching Chicks

So my first chicks have started hatching and I don't know what I need to do now! I have always purchased chicks and raised them inside until they are feather. Does Momma Hen do all the work? Do I need to put chick feed in there? They are in an enclosed hen house and none of the other chickens can get in. Any and all advice is welcome!

Congrats on the babies! Momma hen will take care of them smile.png You do need to give them chick feed, layer feed can be harmful to chicks because it doesn't have enough protein and they don't need the extra calcium.

Here's a link with a run down of what you can expect smile.png

Thanks for the info! We are going to keep her and the chicks separate for now. I have a waterer and chick feed in there for her and them. We are up to six healthy chicks with a few more eggs still waiting.
