The top three are of the chicks when we first got them. I estimate them to be about 10 days old then. We got them from Atwood's in Mena, AR, and I realize that they really don't know what they get, :). The sales lady did tell us that she suspected that they would be a partridge coloration and that that all the chicks in that pen (huge washtub) would be heavies and lay brown eggs.

The bottom four are of them, five gold and one white, now that they are about nine weeks old.

I have scoured the internet for what breed they may be. Found many pictures of spotted/striped/patterned chicks, but none with the right legs, eyes, or crown color until today when I found pictures of the Campine. They fit all the way around, but I'm still not certain, tho. The white one has more yellowy legs than the gold ones, but hers do show a tiny green cast to them, too.

Hopefully, someone out here will know more than I do, :). I wrote a lady about them possibly being Marans, but she replied that no, they are not.

Thank anyone for any help you can be.

The golden ones are Golden Campines, will do some research for you on the white ones to see what I come up with. They sort of look like a Campine with the barring/coloring, but I don't want to tel you a wrong answer without research first :D

Pretty sure the Goldies are Campines, the Silvers kind of depend on what Atwood sells. They could either be Silver Campines or Fayoumis, though either breed generally has blue legs. At least, mine do.
