My Silkie Rooster

I vented my splash silkie chick the other day and I discovered I have a rooster, we were going to sell any roosters we got but as it is a splash silkie we are going to pair him up with a silkie hen hoping they will produce some more eggs which we can hatch. I was just wondering what to aspect from him. we had a rooster in the past but he attacked us every time we went into the garden, I wondered if the breed of rooster will effect their behavior.

Aww I love Silkies! Silkies are said to be great mothers and I am sure they will have a lot of cute babies! However, I think the breed does effect how the chicken behaves most of the time. For example, Rhode Island Red roosters are said to be really mean, and Buff Orpingtons are said to be really nice but I have heard of mean ones. So I think you should be fine. Silkies are said to make great pets if someone were to want a pet chicken.
