Hi, I have a hen that has been setting for about 2 weeks now give or take. She has been on the job non stop. Today she came out for a while and then went back, and now she is out in the yard with the others again for the second time. Is this a problem? Any advice would be appreciated. I heard they only leave once a day so I am concerned about her doing this, this late in the game. It is warm today, around 80. Thank you!

There are no "rules" as to the behavior of a broody hen - and it is not at all uncommon for them to leave the nest more than once in a day. The fact that it is warm is likely a contributing factor as they are generally more inclined to be off the nest for longer periods during nice weather.

Could very well be the warm weather, they know how long they can leave them...
......hopefully she's not giving up on the nest.
I'd keep a close eye on her and maybe get an incubator set up, just in case.
