Can someone please tell me what that is on my chicken and how to treat it? She is laying around not wanting to do anything.

Welcome to BYC. It looks like she was attacked. Do you think the other chickens attacked her? Polish chickens are frequently the object of pecking by other chickens, but usually they aim for the head feathers. A predator may be responsible. Clean the wound with betadine weakened with water, and plain antibiotic ointment can be applied. Vetericyn wound spray is a good substitute. Most wounds heal in a few weeks. If you have more information, it may help. Separate her to help her get some fluids into her, and to watch her and treat her for shock in a dim quiet room or crate.

Welcome to BYC -- your post wasn't all that clear as far as what we were looking at/for, but it appears to be showing a wound of some sort and it appears to extend up/around the area shown -- is there an open wound beneath the feathers?  Are you aware of an encounter with any sort of animal outside of the other chickens?  Is the area actively bleeding or just raw in appearance?

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?

The area is not bleeding and it is raw in appearance. She was in a chicken coop with 3 other polish chickens and 1 unknow rare chicken that came to us free with our order. They were being separated because of being pecked on their backs.
