I have just recently got two trios of BEAUTIFUL Standard Buckeyes and have decided to make a thread so a few others can learn with me!

The two trios I got are about 1½-2 months old. These birds will be going to a few shows this summer and fall so I will post as I choose the birds to show as they grow. I have been reading the standard over and over and hope to memorize it. But I am not good at that but I am getting better! So until I able to remember the standard I will probably get opinions from the breeder they came from!

I will try get some pics tomorrow!

These are the four pullets. Its a bad pic but it was on the way home. Only two have names and I cant tell them apart so I just guess till I band them. One is Effie and another is Annie!

And the two cockerels. The closest is Finnick and the one farther back is Cato.

As some of you might be able to tell I am going with a Hunger games theme!

These little guys just keep growing!! I really like them so far! Hopefully they keep growing at this pace and be ready for their first end of July show!

Weekly Buckeye pics!

They are growing like crazy!! The cockerels are bigger than two of my EE hens already! I noticed that the cockerels have gone their separate ways though. The biggest has 3 pullets and the smaller has 1 pullet. Yesterday they ran around in the rain all morning! I still love this breed!

Haven't updated in a long time! Been very busy!

My sister and I both brought a trio of Buckeyes to our county fair and they took Grand and Reserve Champion and in the end Overall Grand Champion. So I got a State fair trip! I got a blue ribbon at State which I am really happy with!

Just some pics! They are looking good I think! Tails are a little ratty from my dang Guineas but they're still pretty!
