I picked up these two Welsummer chicks about a month ago.  I'm far from an expert but I highly suspect I'm batting .500 for pullets.

 

The first, I suspect is a girl:

 

 

 

The second, I suspect is a boy:

The females and males have different feather coloring in the breed as you are seeing, so yes, a hen than rooster.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.
