I have purchased my little flock. A Delaware, Buff Cochin, Silver Laced Wyandotte and Ameraucana. The Delaware seems to be a few days older than the others and the Buff is tiny. I thought we might lose the Buff, she wasn't thriving. I fed her cottage cheese and it was a life saver. They are doing very well and waiting for the great outdoors. Thanks all for the welcome.

You may also want to feed your tiny one, finely mashed hard boiled egg, or scrambled eggs, plain yogurt, maybe your chick feed is too large for her, and needs to be ground finer. Sometimes reluctant eaters will do better if the chick food is moistened. Is she drinking water & pooing normally?

Good ideas from drumstick diva (as usual). Hope your tiny one does well, you have a nice mixed flock started there.

Looks like my little Buff is a Bantam, her name is Butter Cup. The others are Snow White, Cinderella and Pocahontas. The greenhouse-coop is coming slow.We have had a lot of rain and wind. They are doing very well.

Need a little advice. I bought 4 little chicks in April, 1 is a rooster. He is being adopted today. I would like a couple more hens but I don't know how to introduce them to my girls.

I think there's an article on it in the learning centre, or you could search the forums.
Welcome to BYC :)
