Hi everyone
New chicken mama over here ( trying not to panic). So my last chick that hatched basically was born with Wry neck. Right away it was always flipping onto its back and couldn't stand or walk. I would say the wry neck is pretty bad. She can't walk or stand really because she star gazes and freaks out and walks backward until she flips over. So I came onto here and read about vitamin E ..etc
So I started doing Vitamin E, Selenium, pedialyte. I've been giving that to her and having to hand feed her with a baby dropper water and food starting today on day three. Today she started to peck which is new. So I put the plate of food to her mouth and she started pecking for it. Idk how much she actually ate but she's trying! Right now I have her in a tuppawear in the brooder in a rice measuring cup to keep her relaxed and still . Without the rice cup she flops all over the place and ends up on her back screaming her head off. Can I hear ur experiences with wry neck and what u did to fix it ? How long did it take? Killing is not an option. I also get worried because I have to gauge where to place her in the brooder for temperature. I try putting her in the middle between hot and cold. I also gauge where the other chicks are laying. Thanks for ur help!!
