How much to feed chickens

My chickens seem to be getting fat. I have ten hens that run around the yard all day. I also feed them a combination of cracked corn, split peas and wheat. How many ounces a day per bird should I give them?

For clarity's sake - are you feeding them only that blend and what they get by foraging, or is that in addition to a poultry feed based diet? What breed(s) are the birds and how old are they? When you say they seem to be getting fat, have you picked them up and given a hands on body condition assessment or is this just based on a general appareance?

Just that blend and foraging. Also flax seeds and food scrapes and veggies that I get from the stand that are too old to sell. I don't pick them up that much they just look bigger.
