Pleas help me! Im so new to this like these are my first chickens, ever!!!! Well story is i bought 3 pullets from the local farm supply and i think one is a boy :/. I beleave the one that is a boy is a rhode island red (not sure because the store didnt have them seperated just in one bin called pullets) so if you can tell me what you think that will help me a lot, she is about 3.5 weeks. Her/his tail is shorter than the other 2 and seems pointier.

If she is a he i want to hurry and get another chick (i can only have 3 where i live and NO roosters) so i can have 3 hens one for each kiddo.

The white one i have no idea what breed she is, she is smaller than the RIR and the Plymoth Rock ( different store listed by breed and gender) I have

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Thanks for your help, i want to hope we are both wrong. :(

Boo...the feed store said they will take him back but i dont want to get rid of him if he is a she... but it he is a he then i need a new achick fast as these ones are almost 4 weeks. What to do

For some reason i though he was a boy from like the first week...but refused to believe it, thinking no o e knows till he crows...i feel like he is a boy.

Do you think if i got a chick now the other 2 would be mean to it? Would i have to keep them separate still?

I'd suggest getting at least 2 chicks - particularly as i am assuming they will be younger than your existing ones. If the new chicks are only a few days old, then yes, they would need to separated from the 4 week olds.

Unless you can keep at least 8 to 10 hens, don't even consider keeping him. Cockerels are very randy from about 6 months till they hit about 1 year. Only two pullets for his attentions would stress them out too much.

Im going to give him back to the feed store :( and not get another chick because i dont want any problems with the "new baby" chick and the 2 older girls since i can only have 3 where i live currently. We are looking to buy some property in the next 2 years or so amd ill be able to have more then. When we get the property ill get more chicks and slowly introduce them to the older ones.:(:(

Thanks for everyones help...i was hoping someone would say he MIGHT be a hen. But looks like he is pretty rooish. This is my 5-6 confermatiin that he is a he.
