I'm trying to find something...I have a large door that I can enter the run from. I let the chicks in and out of this door, sometimes propping it open during the day. I'd like to build something that let's the chicks easily enter and leave the run that won't let my kids or coyotes in. I was thinking some sort of small ramp system, similar to the door going from the run to the coop. Any ideas or pics?

Mine is 9"x12" guillotine type I would suggested cutting it 8" to 12"off the floor.

The door can accommodate these birds with no problem (I think 9x12 will also accommodate a determined border collie).

The chicken can be taught to navigate the maze to get into the coop, but the dog can't physically make the turns necessary to gain entry (assuming you don't make it large enough for the dog to navigate, height limitation being very important)...

I like the maze idea. I've got some wore and lumber left over. This would be perfect. I've got a guillotine door going to the coop, I think I'll just duplicate the idea for the maze as well.
