I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Good morning Ginger.

Welcome to BYC, I love it here.

10 seems like a nice size flock for starting. On my first 2 chicken adventures I did only 3 chicks each time. This time around I have 10 in the brooder and they actually seem happier. Also, I can't believe the difference it made in the behavior of my chicks when I switched to a red light instead of white. They instantly calmed down and seem to be resting a lot better, which will ultimately mean healthier, happier chickens.

Hope you have a great time here at BYC and raising your flock!
