I have a clutch of eggs in the incubator due to hatch this Sunday (April 24th). My standard Cochin hen has gone broody this week, would it be possible to get her to raise the incubator hatched chicks? What would be the best way to introduce them? The hen raised a clutch of chicks for me last summer, she's an excellent mother.
Will a broody hen accept incubator hatched chicks?

It works best if the hen has been broody for a few weeks. You can try putting the chicks under her, but be ready to take them if she is aggressive or rejects them.
