Black Spanish/Black Norfolk Tom

So my wife and I had to go into the big city today for supplies and stopped by the feed store for probiotics and some chick starter for our newest additions. While there I couldn't help but notice this jet black adult Tom in the outside cages so being the turkey nut that I am I went to get a closer look. I expected him to be just another BB bird so I didn't have very high hopes but not this guy he's a pretty little heritage tom, looks like he's been beat up and mistreated some so we came up with the $40 buck and brought him home. Mars my BBB Hen beat the tar out of him first thing and still hasn't talked to me since we got home but I think she'll take to him, she needs a friend anyway so maybe I can go to the shop without worrying about her following me.

Thanks Memphis he's the first Heritage bird I've ever had. Mars ain't none too happy with him but he is definitely happier than he was

Little Jet Black or Jet B as we're calling him for now. He's got a big bald spot on his chest and his wings were clipped so he looks kind of rough but he's sure neat. Hasn't picked up his head since I put him out this morning
