I have a chicken that has not been moving for a few days. she keeps her eyes open and she holds herself up but she looks stiff, when you nudge her with your foot, she stumbles or topples over. Does she have Coccidiosis? If she does, is there anything I can do? This year has been very bad for my chickens, could it be something related to the weather changes? I have been feeding her water but she will not eat anything. Is it too late?

How old is your chicken? Coccidiosis symptoms include standing around hunched or puffed up, weakness, eventually lying down, diarrhea with mucus or blood, refusal to eat and drink, lethargy or sleepiness, and ruffled feathers. Corid (amprollium) in the water is the treatment. In some countries toltazuril, coxoid, or sulfa is used. Warm and wet conditions can increase the incidence of coccidiosis. Have you examined her for other problems such as a crop impaction, egg binding, mites or lice, or considered worms?
