My goose who raised her first baby last year, and then fostered some 3 week olds, I gave her with her baby. She is setting and her eggs should be hatching anytime in the next couple days (well, there was an exploder egg yesterday that was probably from the younger geese who weren't fertile yet. she has 6 more )(
3 are hatching now in my incubator. Last year I waited and brooded them 3 weeks , then put them next to the geese who adopted them of course.
But they were (the babies) a bit freaked at first at the 'sight of a goose monster'..... I would like to get these babies to the parents right after they dry off, rest a bit..... anybody know the window of time in which they will bond (the babies) to the parents? I mean I could just sneak them in there (well , with the gandars trying to 'get me') with a pretext of putting straw in the house in the next 24 hours....(They have a secure house and house there, much nicer than living in the garage)
