Giving new babies just hatched to setting goose...? Time frame

My goose who raised her first baby last year, and then fostered  some  3 week olds, I  gave her  with her baby. She is  setting and  her eggs should be hatching anytime in the next couple days (well, there was an exploder egg yesterday that was probably from the younger geese who weren't fertile yet. she has 6 more )(

3 are hatching now in my incubator. Last year I waited and  brooded them 3 weeks , then  put them next to the geese  who adopted them of course.

But they were (the  babies) a bit freaked at first at the 'sight of  a goose monster'..... I would like to  get these babies to the  parents right after they dry off, rest a bit..... anybody know the  window of time in which they will bond (the  babies) to the  parents?  I mean I  could just sneak them in there (well , with the  gandars trying to  'get me') with a  pretext of  putting straw in the  house in the  next 24 hours....(They have a secure house and  house there, much nicer than living in the garage)

The goslings will bond with the parent after it has been under her for about 2 hrs. The baby will get used to her voice and warm chest.

Hope This Helps

Seems the  mama just hatched one...good timing. Her sister is 'helping', there are about 6 eggs left , if  they all hatch.(dad an  uncle are the  guards).

By bonding. I  mean, what time period do I have to get the incubator babies to the  mama goose without them freaking, in other words, the  first 24 hours or first 2 days ?, what is my window that the  sooner I get them into the nest the  better? Would nighttime be easier? like tonight? Or just put them  there this evening, when I  lock up  everyone else? Anybody else  done this?

Putting the babies under her tonight would be best. Just always watch her reaction.

How old are the babies from the incubator?

I always put mine under my broody hens, when they are slightly wet so that they will dry completely under her.

But in my opinion tonight is best

The babies hatched this  morning, and the one in the  house with mama wasn't there yesterday... so  I have 3 inside todays hatch , one outside and  perhaps other eggs will hatch. (the eggs aren't all hers, there were  a  couple other females laying  when she decided to set.)
