Hi. I have a hen that has been broody for months. She has recently stopped brooding and now it seems one or more chickens have been pulling her feathers out. In just the course of about 3-4 days she has lost ALL of her tail feathers, her chest is plucked bare, and the rest of her feathers are looking pretty spotty. Quite frankly she looks like she's had the snot plucked out of her. Poor girl, what am I supposed to do? I feel awful for her and I've become very concerned this has gone too far!

Welcome to BYC. Broodiness can start a full molt in chickens after they have stopped, so I would wonder if she is starting a molt. I would watch closely for bullying, and BlueKote and antipicking creams may help to prevent pecking. To protect her if this persists, you can cqge her and keep her with the other chickens, with her own food and water. Giving her some extra protein, around 20%, would help with regrowing feathers. Check her skin around her vent and elsewhere for mites or lice which may be adding to her problems.
