I see lots of posts on when you can let the lings swim for the first time. Mine have been doing that for a while. Right now I have my 6.5 week olds separated from the rest of the flock while they get to know each other through the fence. I'm going to leave them for another week or two (until the almost ready to hatch goslings come out of the brooder and need that space). I have a kiddie pool that they use all the time in there. What I'm wondering is if there is an age when it is safe to let them in the "big" pond...not really big but deeper than they are tall? I mean they can stand in the kiddie pool practically and not get their feathers wet. LOL
