Oh yeah, that's a little cockerel.

an Ameraucana, like any other breed, has a specific set of characteristics they must meet. The easiest one to go by is color. Your guy isn't any recognized color, so be default he's an Easter egger.

Your little boy has the wrong skin color for true Ameraucana. Ameraucana only ever have white skin. Your boy's skin color is yellow. He also is not one of the accepted color varieties for Ameraucana. Also, consider where you got him. Very few hatcheries have true Ameraucana, and they charge at least $20 per chick. Most hatchery "Ameraucana" are actually Easter Eggers. Feed stores that source chicks from hatcheries will only have Easter Eggers, regardless of what label is on the bin.
True Ameraucana are always sold as a specific color. If no color is specified, it's an Easter Egger.
While Easter Eggers are lots of fun, they are also highly variable. There is a huge range of feathering colors and patterns, temperament, rates of development, production rate, and egg color.
With a true Ameraucana, you can know exactly what your bird will grow to look like, have a pretty good idea of when to expect eggs, what color those eggs will be, and what the personality will be like. There are no such guarantees with Easter Eggers.

That's a good explanation. Thank you. Love my birds. Gonna have to find a home for the little fella. No room in the coop for him. Have a good day
