We have a home made incubator that we just had a 100% hatch (10 out of 10 ducklings) in on Wednesday. We have another batch due to hatch tomorrow, so we moved them into the homemade incubator (the "lockdown" incubator) but the temp dropped to 91 and I CANNOT for the life of me get it to go up. Humidity is between 65-70%. We have 3 external pips. Any advice? Will they still be able to hatch if I just leave it at 91 degrees? Or should I make attempts to open the incubator and change the bulb (getting heat from a brooder light) to see if that makes a difference? The temp for the last hatch was about 98 degrees with 65-70% humidity. Any advice is appreciated!
