Im going to tell you a little about myself, then how i got into chickens, my chicken history to date, then keep a diary of my chicken life.

First of all, my proudest accomplishment is my 2 wonderful children. Ashly (24) & Dylan (18) are good people with good hearts and i feel that is the most important traits i could hope for. They are also smart, witty, determined and kind. I could tell you stories that would melt your heart, but this is my chicken diary, not my parental diary... Lol.

This is Ashly. She was about 8 1/2 months pregnant in this picture.

I put most of my pictures on the tablet i got for christmas, and my phone is the one with internet, so i will have to do a little bluetoothing and put more pics on here later.

Ashly just had her third baby and looks amazing!

Connor is oldest. He turned 3 in Feb.

When Ashly accidentally got pregnant with her third baby, she and her husband decided they had outgrown their small two bedroom trailer, Ashly decided it was time to temporarily give up her chicken hobby. So a few months ago she asked me if I would like a couple chickens if she built me a coop.

I said yes to three. My two favorite colored birds and her favorite.

Yzma is my amazing easter egger.

They had so much personality! Each very different and having their own quirks. I fell in love with them and tried to learn proper care. It was so overwhelming. There were so many different opinions about so many different topics! I covered the basics of feeding and care. I talked to my daughter all the time when I had questions or tried to look it up here, on byc after she recommended i join.

After like 3-4 months, I started having ideas about my ideal flock. Not long after that, I remodelled the coop and got a cockerel.
