In the Brooder
Hello! Thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Amanda, from Ontario, Canada. We just picked up our first chickens this weekend.
We have 1 each:
- Speckled Sussex (Speckle)
- Gold Laced Polish (Pippi)
- Dark Brahma (Twilight)
- Buff Brahma (Dixie)
- Buff Orpington (Pumpkin)
- Splash Cochin (North)
(At least that's my novice option on what they all are!)
Our children had a lot of fun naming them all. All of them are hens around a year old. So far so good, a few pecking order squirmishes, but no major issues yet!

I've been reading loads of posts and feel so much more enlightened then I did a few weeks ago that's for sure!
