My little chick Josephine is seemingly as healthy as can be and so very, very sweet. The moment I pick her up and say her name, she starts falling asleep, completely trusting and relaxed. But whether I'm holding her or she's just on the floor of her brooder, as she's falling asleep, she begins to open and close her beak over and over until asleep and then she stops.
Is this just a quirk or could she be having respiratory issues, and if it's the latter, why only as she's nodding off to sleep?
