3 years ago I built a simple all in one (4x8), I love it, it worked well. For 2 years I have 4 hens, about 5 days a week I let the hens free range. So the coop worked well, and I felt good with the freedom they had.

Well, late last fall I gave away my hens, loaded the coop into the back of my F150 ( alone, not recommended ) hauled it 300 miles across the state.

6 weeks ago we got 5 Rhodey chicks. They have been living nicely in a 3x5 foot box in the basement.

Saturday we started a slight remodel of the all in one.

Took one end of the run off, stripped the roofing, then built on a 24x4 ft additional run space, giving them 32x4 of run including under the house. Roofed it all in the same roofing as we did on our home not 3 weeks ago.

Moved the Hens in, got a little trim and finishes.

But I think they will be happy.
