Fist time caring for chickens and still trying to figure out if this Sunny of mine is a hen or roo? The 2 little ones are pullets 1 another BO the other is a leghorn both at 3 weeks old. Sunny is very caring towards the little ones, hoping Hen!
 
I would think a hen if she is so good with the chicks. You can find out by posting her photo at "what breed or gender is this." Buff orps are such a nice, docile breed, the hens make very good broody mamas.
