When we first got her I was told she was a Golden Orpington. Being new to chickens I had no idea that she was so not that.
Any ideas of what she is mixed with to get this coloring. And is she a she? About 15-17 weeks.

She looks like a red sex-link, probably crossed with a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red rooster and a White Plymouth Rock or Delaware hen.

She is a red/gold sex link. There is no such color in Orps as Golden, maybe they meant Buff, but she is not one of those anyway. A sex link is a hybrid, not a true breed, a cross of two breeds easy to sex at hatch due to color differences in male and female.
