Hello All,
I ordered call duck eggs from ebay and they should be here by Friday the 29th, today is Tuesday the 26th. I know the air cells can get detached due to shipment and I was reading up on it and saw that the best way to go about that is to let them sit for 24 hours pointy end down in an egg carton. Then, put them into the incubator in the egg carton and rotate that. My only problem is I will be putting them under a broody hen I have (Silkie, great mothers I hear) So since I cant put an egg carton under her how should I go about letting them settle. I don't want to decrease the fertility rate by leaving them out for to long. Would letting them rest for 48 hours be okay? If I do that then they wont go under her until Sunday, May 1st.
