Well since we've found out 6/9 of our chickens are roosters it's back to the drawing board for us! We want to keep our amber link rooster (I've bonded with him to much to even consider giving him up, the others are replaceable). This leaves us with two white leghorns and 1 silver laced wyondotte hen. We've been looking at a hatchery near us and we are trying to figure out what breeds we should get. We have more of an option now than we did buying our first set at a supply store. We're looking to buy 10 PULLET chicks this go around so we know for sure what we're getting! What are some of the best laying breeds that you guys would recommend and how many? Should we buy in 2s or does it matter if we have 1 chicken of an individual breed? Again, all opinions are welcome, we're still new to this chicken business!

Wow. You have some luck with chickens. I am new to this bit just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you! Good luck with finding hens.

Leghorns are considered one of the best layers out there. If you want to add some color to your eggs, Easter Eggers (the hatchery will call them Ameraucana, they are not, but still great birds)
Just pick what appeals to you, you can choose one of each if you want, the birds do not care.
