Just curious - we're entering the time when the midwest (mainly) will see tornados, up drafts, micro bursts, hail and the like.
HOW do you secure your coops for your chickens and ducks???
Hi, I'm from NE OKlahoma where we had tornado's last night. I built my coop (a flimsy package deal), but haven't put the chicks out in it yet. I plan to use T-Posts driven down and tied to the coop with zip ties. I'm also planning to use T-Posts for fencing around the coop for a run. The coop has a very small run, but the chicks will need more room when they are bigger. I'm not able to put wooden posts in the ground, (81 year old widow), but think I can handle the T-Posts. I bought 100 ft. of 2"x4" welded wire to use for fencing with 1/2" hardware cloth around the bottom of the fence to keep predators out. If anyone has any other suggestions, please advise me.
