The Walmart (Great Value) brand ACV we have in our pantry already says the ingredients are: Apple Cider Vinegar. I read some posts saying that if it isn't "organic" then it's just white vinegar with caramel coloring. Wouldn't that have to be listed as an ingredient? Just wondering if I can use the stuff we have? We're very rural and it's a 1.5hr drive to any place that sells "organic" stuff! Lol.

It doesn't have to be organic but it does have to be raw. Pasteurized vinegar of any kind has the beneficial enzymes removed. If it doesn't have the 'mother' in it (the residue floating near the bottom) then it isn't likely raw.

You don't NEED to give chickens vinegar. It does work as a cleaner and helps keep water founts from getting slimy and provides some benefits but not necessary.
