We live in Scotland and other the past two years we have had a number of strange going ons

Like:

- Hutch door unbolted

- eggs with nearly fully developed chicks inside all other the shed (not eaten not even a scratch on them)

- Our friendly pekin bantam cockerel was found by me under a rabbit hutch that had no gaps for him to get under (he was still alive though just a bit shaky and flattened)

- Our bird aviary door wide open

- Chinese painted button quails escaped from aviary (we no escape route to be found

- Beheaded Japanese quail

- £100 worth of small foreign finches and canaries disappeared

- we found all our chickens out with there pen folded back

- eggs disappeared

- 2 chicken's vanished and the 2 fattest were still runny about there pen unharmed

- we came back from holiday and found our white star hardly had a tail

- my elderly dad found his ear muths for law mowing down at the farm

anyone HAVE AN IDEA WHATS GOING ON!

I agree. Time to buy combination locks and cameras. Lots of them!

Sounds like it might the famous "Wulver" visiting your place.  Or maybe Nessie has risen from the water? LOL!!

My bet is also on a two legged thief!  If you choose to try a game cam, be sure to turn off the flash.  If the intruder sees the flash he will probably run off with your game cam.  Most game cams do film with infrared.  Here again, make sure the infrared is a no-glow type.

Here is a perfect example of a cheap no-glow version  The issue with you might be shipping.  Still, considering the losses you've taken, the cost of this game cam including shipping would be a bargain.

Last year's models can be purchased much cheaper than the most current models.

Hope you catch the culprit!!!

we hav game cam but not sure how to use it or even charge it

Didn't it come with instructions?

You usually don't charge them. Mine isn't rechargeable. I just have to replace the 8 AA batteries.

Google the brand and model number. You should be able to pull up a manual.
