Goat Thread!

She sure doesn't look like she needs any grain. If she acts and feels OK I wouldn't worry about it. She just may not feel she needs it.

Hello goat people! Im new to the site, and was wondering if i could post a pic and someone could tell me if my goat was pregnant. Shes showing aeveral signs, but i hope im not just overlly excited and talking myself into it. Sorry for the behind picture!! I was just wondering if we had any idea how far along?? If she even is preggers. Hoping she is just not husky!!!

She looks pregnant and I am GUESSING she has maybe a month to go. Bear in mind I am used to dairy goats and not minis or myotonics. Stand behind the doe and clasp your hands together under her belly just in front of the udder. Push up sharply. You should be able to feel the kids as they come back down. They feel like hard lumps. As she gets closer, her vulva will get puffier and he udder will get fuller. When she is really close, the tail bone will rise and she will lose the mucus plug. Some people feel for the ligaments but I was never good at that.

Thanks for the info!! Thats whatbi was gueasing, but im new to this so i second guess everything. So let me ask you, I push in slightly on her lower right side close to her daughter and I can feel something move, then if I push in the same spot all feel it move again, so I don't think it's gas. Would this be babies? I have significant movement on the top right, but that could just be gas. But the lower-right definitely felt like a little hard lumps moving back and forth but I couldn't actually see it I could just feel it.

Btw, sorry im new to the site, and some how posted to one of your old threads some how? Sorry

Wow i butchered that last message, darn auto correcr. I pushed in slightly by her udder (which i guess could technically be her daughter lol:D:D)
Hopefully you can make sense of that last post.

Also, here is an updated photo

Honestly, I haven't dealt with pregnant goats before so I wouldn't know if what you are feeling is the kids or not. But I would say she's pregnant just based on that big ole belly and udder!

Hi,
I am new here. We have a small acreage and have just recently got our two goats milk and cookie. They are Australian miniatures, although not the registered breeds. They are wethers and just for pets. They have been a lot of fun and are keeping my kids busy outside the house.

So shes beginning to have some white milky colored discharge as of a few hours ago. Is this normal, or mean anything? Her bag seems pretty full as well.
