Pros and cons of having a drake in your flock

I am thinking about getting a drake.
I am torn though because I would live to breed in about two years but I am not sure if having a drake is right for me. Really I don't know much about them. I have tried resurching but I haven't found much.
I would be getting a Welsh Harlequin drake along with four Girls. Only one will be a Welsh as well.
I think I would only want to breed the Welsh...
What do y'all think?
Please help me decide
I Would love to know the thing you like the most about having your drake and the thing you like the least please.

We have a Cayuga drake and he's pretty good. He does have to be separated frequently because he can overbred our females.

He did just give us four babies so right now I like him. Lol

It's good for alerting us when things happen but can be aggressive. If you know you want ducklings get a drake but have a separate area for him if needed.

How big of an area do you think a drake needs?
and don't they only get Randy during mating season? or is it year round?
when is mating season?

They definitely get worse around mating season (starts in late February for my flock usually), but they'll mate all year round.
I have 3 boys and 5 girls right now, and the boys are only a problem for one poor little girl - my mallard, Ruby Sue. Really I think just one boy, Tony, is most of her problem. He's really rough, plus he's a lot bigger than her. So for the past couple months, Ruby has been sectioned off by herself in the pen to recover (her little mallard boyfriends sit on the other side of the wire next to her, it's so cute). The other 4 girls are fine with the 3 boys - no bald heads/necks, no major feather quality issues, etc. So I guess it just depends...each flock is different.
