Identify this baby!!

i am raising an orphaned wild duck. It was found in a pond all by its lonesome and brought to me. Looks like a mallard but after studying it more it may be a teal or American black duck? It's super tiny similar to wood duckling size (I know it's not a woody). It's springy and likes to jump like a woody though. Help! smile.png

That is what I was thinking however he is so tiny compared to my other mallard babies I've had. Maybe just a runt but I will tell you he makes up for his size in tenacity!!!
